Ghana’s U-17 team lost 2-0 to Ivory Coast in a warm up friendly ahead of the junior tournament in Morocco.
The Black Starlets endured the frustrating defeat to the Young Elephants at the Alassane Ouattara Olympique Stadium in Ebimpe on Tuesday.
A goal each by Diabate Yussouf and Nomane Guy sealed victory for Ivory Coast despite Ghana’s earlier dominance.
Both countries are using the friendlies as preparations for the up coming Africa U-17 Cup of Nations in Morocco from May 13 to June 2.

The two sides will face off again on Thursday, April 30 in the second leg of the friendly series at the same venue.
Ghana who have won the tournament twice, are paired in Group D alongside Senegal, Algeria and South Africa.
Ivory Coast will battle Cameroon, Uganda and DR Congo in Group B.
