The Falconets have officially touched down in Ogun State as they gear up to host Malawi in their high-stakes FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture this coming Saturday.
Nigeria’s contingent arrived in Ijebu-Ode following three weeks of intensive camping in Abuja, marking an escalation in preparations for their crucial double-header final qualifier.
Coach Moses Aduku’s side will conduct their training sessions at the Remo Stars Stadium in nearby Ikenne-Remo, where the technical focus has now shifted fully toward match readiness. Team morale remains exceptionally high, with players demonstrating immense determination and tactical cohesion as preparations intensify for the first-leg encounter against the Malawians.
The return leg is scheduled to take place in Malawi on May 9. The Falconets are targeting a dominant and convincing performance in the opening leg to secure a significant competitive advantage as they push for qualification to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup finals, which Poland is set to host from September 5 to 26.
