Fatawu Issahaku: Ghana winger gutted by Leicester City’s relegation to Championship

Ghana winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has expressed regret over Leicester City’s relegation to the English Championship.

The Foxes suffered back-to-back demotion from the top tier and will now play in Ligue 1 despite winning the Premier League title in 2016.

Their drop to the lower tier was confirmed after their 2-2 draw with Hull City in April 2026 with two games to draw the curtains down the season.

Issahaku went down with compatriot Jordan Ayew and it remains to be seen if both players will depart Leicester.

Issahaku who joined Leicester from Portugal side Sporting CP, shared some words with the media during his unveiling as the brand ambassador of Rush Energy Drink.
