Zimbabwe’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) has a new leader following the action of Saturday, 9 May 2026. Rookies Hardrock FC went to the top of the 18-member log table after easing to an away 3-0 victory over TelOne FC at Mascot Stadium.
Reigning Player of the Year Washington Navaya opened the scoreboard for the visitors in the first half before Sambulo Simelane added the second for coach Kelvin Kaindu’s men to lead 2-0 at the break.
The Warriors forward Simelane added his second goal of the afternoon in the second half to complete the rout.
The huge result saw Hardrock FC going two points clear of second-place CAPS United’s Makepekepe, at least as of Saturday.
The Green Machine or Makepekepe have been dictating the league race for the better part of the season and are expected to bounce back to the summit if they win their game in hand. CAPS United face FC Dynamos on Sunday.
In another game, Scottland FC fired blanks once again as they settled for a goalless draw against FC Platinum on coach Norman Mapeza’s return to his former team on Saturday.
The holders, who were missing the services of experienced stars Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat through injury, have since dropped from third to fifth place in the table, six points behind HardRock FC.
At the foot of the table, Agama FC are bottom with four points from 11 games, just one point behind equally troubled Manica Diamonds FC.
