Reigning champions GoldStars dug deep to beat record FA Cup holders Accra Hearts of Oak 2-1 in Sunday’s Week 24 clash from the Ghana Premier League.

The Bibiani based side shot themselves ahead in the 14th minute before Hearts of Oak pulled level with with Henry Boateng in 62nd minute at the Duns Park.
GoldStars however squeezed in the winner from Augustine Boakye with three minutes to full time to keep them second on 45 points, one behind leaders Medeama SC who drew goalless at All Blacks on Sunday.
Record Ghana Premier League holders, Asante Kotoko failed to beat ten-man Vision FC in a cagey encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

The result keeps Kotoko fourth on the league log with 39 points, one adrift of sworn rivals Hearts of Oak after 24 matches.
Medeama’s quest to extend their lead at the top of the table was pegged back by All Blacks in a game that ended goalless.
The pulsating draw leaves the Mauve and Yellow still at the top but with just one point ahead of holders GoldStars.
Heart of Lions’ woes were deepened following a 1-0 loss in Basake against Holy Stars with the result threatening them with relegation.
