Ghana FA Cup: Aduana thrash Liberty Youth to reach semifinals

Ghana Premier League side Aduana FC reached the semifinals of the MTN FA Cup with a resounding victory over Techiman Liberty Youth.

The “Fire Boys” put three unanswered goals past the second tier side at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in the quarter finals.

The two time Ghana Premier League champions were a mouthful for the Division One opponents, booking a place in the semifinals.

Aduana eliminated Asante Kotoko

Aduana shot ahead from the effort of Daouda Ben Sidibe after a well worked out team play in the 39th minute.

The solitostrikw separated the two sides moving into the half time break.

The Dormaa-based team maintained their pressure after the break and doubled their advantage in the 81st minute through Alex Boakye.

Emanuel Marfo iced the cake for Aduana to seal victory deep into stoppage time.

The result sends Aduana FC into the semi-finals, where they will face the winner of the quarter-final clash between Nations FC and Berekum Chelsea.

Aduana FC who eliminated Asante Kotoko in the round of 16, are also pushing for the Ghana Premier League title.

They are currently five points behind leaders Medeama SC with nine matches to end the season.
