Alex Iwobi ruled out of Fulham matchday squad against Bournemouth

Fulham manager Marco Silva has confirmed that midfielder Alex Iwobi will miss Saturday’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth due to injury.

The Nigerian international is sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained in the 43rd minute of the match against Brentford. Iwobi has already missed the last three league fixtures, including the recent defeat to Arsenal.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Silva confirmed that both Iwobi and Ryan Sessegnon remain unavailable for the match at Craven Cottage.

“Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi, they are going to be out of the game.

We had a difficult week with one or two. We have to keep assessing every single day.

Sander is through the illness, but he’s been the one that is suffering a little bit more. He felt something in the week of Brentford, was one of the reasons why he was not recovered for Villa, and last week he had probably a bigger one, and it’s had an impact on him.”

Fulham sit 11th in the Premier League table with 48 points, while Bournemouth come 6th with 52 points.
