Ivory Coast national team head coach Emerse Faé has summoned Manchester United winger Amad Diallo for the upcoming friendlies against Canada and New Zealand in June. The 22-year-old attacker last played for Les Éléphants in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad in September 2024.

Injury kept Diallo out of the national team for the March edition of the FIFA World Cup African qualifier matches. Since returning from injury, he has scored once in the Premier League and provided one assist. Amad also started in the final of the 2025 UEFA Europa League against eventual champions Tottenham.
Amad has been one of the few standout performers this season for the struggling English top-flight side. His winner against derby rivals Manchester City was voted Manchester United’s Goal of the Season.
Ivory Coast coach Faé hopes to use these two friendly matches to prepare for the upcoming AFCON tournament in Morocco. The defending champions have called up a predominantly Europe-based squad for the encounters.
