AS FAR travel itinerary

The AS FAR delegation proceeded to South Africa’s administrative capital of Pretoria, which is the home of Sundowns.

In a statement, Alexandre Santos’ side indicated that they were scheduled to loosen up later Friday.

“The team will carry out its final preparations in an atmosphere dominated by discipline and concentration, with the aim of achieving the best level of physical and mental preparation before kick-off,” reads the statement.

“AS FAR will approach this great continental event with high morale and a positive spirit that reigns within the entire group, players, and technical staff. The club aims to come back with a positive result that would give them a significant advantage before the return match.”

Santos acknowledges Sundowns strengths

Commenting on the away leg, Santos delved into his team’s physical and tactical preparations for the clash against the Betway Premiership holders, highlighting their strength.

The North Africa side booked their place in the final after eliminating fellow Moroccans RS Berkane 2-1 on aggregate, while Cardoso’s wards saw off Esperance de Tunis.

Sundowns are smarting from a morale-sucking 3-2 loss to TS Galaxy in a Betway Premiership match on Tuesday.
