Carlos Baleba has won the Goal of the Month award in the English Premier League. The young Cameroonian star earned the honor for his superb left-footed finish from outside the box against West Ham United in Round 34.

The Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder’s strike secured a dramatic win for the Seagulls at the death. The well-executed goal not only handed Brighton a valuable three points but has now also earned Baleba the Goal of the Month award for April, as confirmed by the Premier League.

Baleba, 21, has scored three league goals in his second season with Brighton. He remains one of the most trusted players under manager Fabian Hürzeler and continues to spark interest from top European clubs. Brighton, under the German tactician, are currently ninth in the standings.

Baleba becomes the first player from Cameroon to win the Premier League’s Goal of the Month accolade. Before him, fellow Cameroonians Joel Matip and André Onana have also won monthly awards in the league.
