African stars continued their blistering performances across Europe with notable names like Ivory Coast youngster Yan Diomande increasingly his season’s tally in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
The French Ligue 1 once again brought out the best from a number of African players with Senegal international, Bamba Dieng helping Lorient secure a 2-0 win over Olympique Marseille.

The 26-year-old doubled Lorient’s lead in the 58th minute after Panos Katseris’ opener in the 28th minute mark.
Dieng has now scored nine goals in 18 league appearances with one assist to his name this current campaign.
Veteran Morocco international, Soufiane Boufal scored his debut goal as Le Havre battled to a 1-1 draw Angers on Saturday.
The 32-year-old midfielder scored early in the 13th minute with Angers pulling level through Peter Prosper in the 28th minute.
In the Turkish Super Lig, experienced Senegal international, M’baye Niang was on the losing side as his 66th minute goal could not save Genclerbirligi who lost 2-1 at home to league leaders, Galatasary on Saturday.
Elsewhere in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League, Cameroon youngster, Bernard Nguene registered a goal during Standard Liege’s 2-1 away win at Sporting Charleroi on Saturday.
The 19-year-old scored the equalizer in the 69th minute after Charleroi had shot ahead seven minutes before with Tobias Mohr scoring late to secure Standard’s win.
Morocco defender Zakaria El Ouahdi and young Cameroon star, Aaron Bibout scored each for Genk claim a 2-1 win over Westerloo.
Elsewhere in-Ouahdi opened Genk’s lead in the 68th minute with Bibout rising from the bench to add the second three minutes later.
Cruz Patrao pulled what was to be a consolation for Westerloo five minutes after Bibout’s second goal.
Cameroon international, Martin Hongla scored a goal during Aris Thessaloniki’s 3-2 victory against Volos on matchday 28 of the Greek Super League on Saturday. The Cameroonian midfielder notched his first goal in his new colors.
