Gambian youngster Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh is a player whose signature is expected to be in the spotlight come the summer transfer window.
At just 19 years old, the centre-back has been a revelation for Norwegian Eliteserien outfit Tromso this season.
His swashbuckling performances have already attracted interest from top English Premier League and German Bundesliga clubs. Chelsea, Manchester United, and RB Leipzig are already considering signing the defender in the summer to bolster their backlines.
The latest to join the fray are Italian giants AC Milan, who have inquired about Abubacarr Kinteh after his strong performances with Tromsø this campaign. He has played six games out of a possible eight for Tromsø in the Eliteserien this season but has only been capped once by The Gambia.
The player was called up to be part of the squad for Gambia’s World Cup qualification matches last year against Kenya and Burundi. The defender made his debut on 10 October 2025, in a 4–3 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification loss to Gabon. He joined Tromsø from the Senegalese youth side, Academy Mawade Wade, last year.
