Following RS Berkane's 2-0 victory over Simba SC in the first leg of the Confederation Cup final, coach Mouin Chaâbani and captain Issoufou Dayo delivered measured reactions. Between satisfaction with the result and caution ahead of the return leg in Zanzibar, the message is clear: nothing is decided yet.

RSB head coach Chaâbani, interviewed at the end of the match, praised his team's spirit while highlighting the opponent's experience. "We faced a respectable team, accustomed to playing even in the Champions League. We were able to create chances and I don't know if some situations warranted a penalty, but we clearly put our opponent under pressure."

The Tunisian coach, however, did not want to indulge in euphoria. "A 2-0 victory in the final is never completely comfortable. It's the first leg and we'll have to defend our chances until the last second in the return leg. Scoring an away goal can make a huge difference; it's a goal we must keep in mind."

The same tone came from Burkinabe captain Issoufou Dayo, who remained clear-headed despite his team's strong performance. "We scored two goals but we were hoping for a third, or even a fourth. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible. Finals are always complicated and close matches."

Dayo nevertheless displays great confidence ahead of the trip to Zanzibar. "It won't be easy there, that's for sure. But we have confidence in our group. We are capable of bringing this trophy home."
