The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled a new trophy design for the CAF Champions League.
The unveiling took place at TotalEnergies’ South African headquarters in Johannesburg and was attended by several African football legends, including Lucas Radebe, Teko Modise, and Siphiwe Tshabalala, along with a number of African football leaders.
Ronwen Williams, captain of South African club Mamelodi Sundowns, and Ali Gabr, captain of Egyptian side Pyramids FC, took a commemorative photo with the new CAF Champions League trophy.
Mamelodi Sundowns will host Pyramids at 1 PM GMT on Saturday, May 24, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria. The return leg of the final will take place at 5 PM GMT (8 PM Cairo local time) on Sunday, June 1, at the Air Defense Stadium.
