Zimbabwe: Chiragwi, Mukumba scoop Castle PSL accolades

CAPS United FC coach Takesure Chiragwi and Ngezi Platinum Stars FC attacker Marvelous Mukumba have won top league awards in Zimbabwe.

Chiragwi and Mukumba have scooped the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) accolades for March 2026.

In a statement, the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League confirmed that the Green Machine handler has won the Castle Lager PSL Coach of Month Award while the midfielder has claimed Player of the Month gong.

Chiragwi delivers good for CAPS United

In a reaction as quoted by Zimbabwe’s Herald newspaper, the coach said: “I am very excited to win this award. I give credit to CAPS United and my players for doing a splendid job.”

Since joining the team from Stars, Chiragwi has steered CAPS United to the summit of the log table. Under his watch, Makepekepe have posted five wins, one loss and one draw to lead the standings with 16 points from seven games at par with second-placed Hard Rock FC.

During the month of March, Chiragwi registered for straight victories to seize control of the Castle Lager PSL log table.

How Mukumba has fared in Castle PSL

Mukumba, has one other hand, been instrumental in Stars’s improved performances this season. He has scored four goals to send his team into fourth place, just a point behind the leading teams.
