David Ouma: Kenyan coach fired by Singida Black Stars

Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars club management has officially announced the dismissal of the entire technical bench effective Sunday, April 5, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the club, the decision was reached following the team’s unsatisfactory performance and recent poor results.

Among those who have been sent packing include Kenyan coach David Ouma, who has been with the team since the time of Miguel Gamondi.

Singida lost against TRA United

The decision was taken after Singida Black Stars lost their Tanzania Mainland Premier League fixture 2-0 against TRA United on Sunday.

In a statement, Singida Black Stars said: “Singida BS officially announces the dissolution of the entire technical bench, effective today, Sunday.

“This decision has been made due to the team’s poor performance following unsatisfactory results in recent matches.”

The statement further stated the Singida Black Stars management will provide more information about the new technical bench as it continues with preparations for upcoming games.

Singida will next face KMC

The statement concluded: “The club will provide further information regarding the interim technical bench as preparations for upcoming fixtures continue.”

The defeat against TRA United left Singida in sixth position with 25 points from 17 matches. They have managed seven wins, four draws, and six defeats.

Singida will next host KMC FC in another league fixture on Wednesday.
