The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has officially announced the kick-off time and ticketing information for the highly anticipated 2026 Nedbank Cup final between Durban City FC and TS Galaxy FC.
The showdown is scheduled for Saturday, 2 May 2026, at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. The league has confirmed that the match will commence at 18:00, bringing the curtain down on the “Ke Yona” competition at the iconic 2010 FIFA World Cup host venue in Limpopo.
Both finalists had to navigate tricky semi-final encounters against Motsepe Foundation Championship opposition to book their spots in the final.
Durban City secured their progression on Saturday, 4 April, with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Casric Stars at the Chatsworth Stadium.
The Rockets, meanwhile, took a more dramatic route on Sunday, 5 April. After a 1-1 stalemate against Milford FC following 120 minutes of football at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium, Adnan Beganovic’s men eventually triumphed 4-3 in a tense penalty shootout to seal their place in the Nedbank Cup final.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the PSL confirmed that tickets are now officially on sale to the general public.
“Tickets for the final are available at Open Tickets outlets nationwide, including Shoprite, Checkers, and Usave stores. Spectators can purchase tickets at a cost of R50 each,” reads the league statement.
“The PSL encourages members of the public to purchase tickets early to avoid disappointment and to be part of what promises to be a memorable occasion on the South African football calendar.”
The league also hinted at a “festival atmosphere,” with further details regarding match-day entertainment to be communicated in due course.
For Durban City, the final represents a chance to clinch their first piece of major silverware since the club’s rebranding from Maritzburg United.
On the other hand, TS Galaxy will be looking to replicate their historic 2019 achievement. The Mpumalanga outfit famously became the first-ever lower-division side to win the competition when they stunned Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
