Al Masry were held to a 2-2 draw against ENPPI in Round 3 of the Nile Egyptian League title phase, marking the second consecutive draw for both sides.
ENPPI took an early lead in the 4th minute through Mohamed Sherif Hattout after a quick one-two move followed by a finish.
Al Masry equalized in the 41st minute when Mido Gaber converted a penalty after the ball struck ENPPI goalkeeper Abdelrahman Samir.
However, ENPPI quickly regained the lead just two minutes later, as Aqtay Abdullah found the net in the 43rd minute with a strike from inside the box.
Al Masry managed to level the score again in the 77th minute, when Mounzer Tamim met a cross from his compatriot Abderrahim Degmoum and guided it into the net.
The result sees ENPPI sit in fifth place with 35 points, while Al Masry sit sixth with 34 points.
ENPPI will face Zamalek away next Monday in Round 4, while Al Masry are set to take on Smouha on the same day.
In another game, Ceramica Cleopatra secured a 2-0 victory over Smouha in another Nile Egyptian League clash, continuing their strong run in the title phase.
Sodiq Awujoola opened the scoring in stunning fashion just 38 seconds into the match with a header, giving Ceramica Cleopatra an early advantage.
Ayman Moka sealed the win deep into stoppage time, scoring the second goal in the 93rd minute to put the result beyond doubt.
With this victory, Ceramica Cleopatra move up to 43 points in fourth place, just three points behind league leaders Zamalek who face Pyramids in the same round.
