Brazilian forward João Gabriel Esteves Cardoso has reaffirmed his commitment to KCCA FC by signing a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2027.
The club officially confirmed the development on Saturday, expressing delight at retaining the services of the dynamic attacker.
“KCCA FC is delighted to announce that Brazilian forward João Gabriel Esteves Cardoso has signed a new two-year contract extension, securing his future with the Kasasiro Boys until 2027,” read a statement from the club.
“This development ensures that the talented attacker will continue to dazzle the KCCA FC faithful at the MTN Omondi Stadium for seasons to come.”
Gabriel, who joined KCCA FC ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, has quickly become a fan favorite with his flair, vision, and attacking threat. Reflecting on his renewed stay, the Brazilian couldn’t hide his excitement.
“I am happy to continue my journey with KCCA FC,” he said. “I have truly embraced the culture here and the passionate support from the fans. I feel at home in Lugogo, and I am eager to continue contributing to the team’s success.”
Gabi made a solid impression last season, scoring four goals and registering three assists in just 10 Uganda Premier League appearances. He also added a goal in the Stanbic Uganda Cup, underlining his growing influence at the club.
He previously turned out for Flamengo U20 in Brazil and German outfit FCA Darmstadt, before making the switch to Uganda, where he now looks set to remain an integral part of the Kasasiro Boys' future ambitions.
