It was a moment of pure quality that capped off a lively contest, where Alimami Gory had opened the scoring early on in the 21st minute, only for Giorgi Kvilitaia to respond for Metz ten minutes later. As the game progressed, Otávio restored the advantage in the 69th minute, before Kebbal’s late brilliance in the 89th minute.

The goal marked his ninth in Ligue 1 this season, and his first since January, signaling a strong comeback at a crucial stage of the campaign.

The match also saw the return of Samir Cherki to the starting lineup after a long injury layoff, providing a positive boost for Algeria national team ahead of upcoming international commitments under Vladimir Petković, particularly with the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon.
