Striker Tino Kadewere welcomed his recall to the Zimbabwe national team with a double for his club in the Greek Super League on Sunday, 17 May 2026.
The previously discarded Warriors forward came off the bench in the second half to score twice for Aris Thessaloniki FC as they beat Levadiakos FC 3-1.
Kadewere, who has of late been struggling with injuries, was introduced in the 59th minute, before he scored in the 64th and 80th minutes.
The towering attacker capped off the evening with a 72nd-minute assist for teammate Carlos Perez to power Thessaloniki to the commanding victory in the Greece Super League tie.
Thessaloniki is in play-off position five in the log table with 31 points from 32 games.
Scoring was the perfect way for the 29-year-old to celebrate his recall to the Warriors squad for the Unity Cup scheduled for the United Kingdom from 26 to 30 May 2026.
The former Olympique Lyon star has not featured for Zimbabwe for over a year.
He was thrown out of camp while the team was in South Africa amid reports that he had an altercation with a reporter at a training ground in September 2025.
