Libyan Premier League: Chaos ends Ittihad-Asswehly clash as Al Ahli Tripoli snatch dramatic late derby victory

The latest round of the Libyan Premier League title-deciding hexagonal stage produced thrilling action both on and off the pitch, as Al Ahli Tripoli secured a dramatic derby victory, Al Olympi claimed their first win, while the heated clash between Al Ittihad Tripoli and Asswehly was abandoned due to chaos disturbances.

Al Ahli Tripoli 1-0 Al Madina

Al Ahli Tripoli earned a crucial derby win over Al Madina after a dramatic late strike from Tunisian star Hamdou Elhouni.

Despite missing a penalty in the 55th minute through Aziz Al-Souei, Al Ahli kept pushing and eventually found the breakthrough in the closing stages.

The victory lifts Al Ahli Tripoli to seven points, strengthening their position in the race for the Libyan League title.

Al Olympi 2-0 Al Ittihad Misurata

Al Ittihad Misurata suffered defeat as Al Olympi recorded their first victory of the hexagonal stage.

Al Olympi opened the scoring in the 21st minute after goalkeeper error allowed Abdullah Al-Sharif’s effort to find the net.

Tijani Anan scored the second goal in the 87th minute with a touch from inside the box.

The result gives Al Olympi their first three points and boosts competition in the title race.

Al Ittihad vs Al Swehly Abandoned Amid Violence
