The 22-year-old had only made one substitute appearance in Czechia’s Chance Liga before Tuesday’s cup clash but made a massive impact after being given another opportunity off the bench.
The former star of Estonian club Paide Linnameeskond, who arrived from fellow Chance Liga club Karvina, bundled in to put the hosts ahead in the 80th minute. However, Slavia’s Senegalese defender Youssoupha Mbodji equalized deep into second half stoppage time to send the match to extra time.
Earlier in the match, it appeared that 18-year-old Nigerian phenom Mubarak Suleiman might snatch the headlines. The midfielder opened the scoring inside six minutes with a quality finish to make it 2 goals and an assist in 5 matches since making his senior debut on February 7.

But the hosts responded through veteran forward Jan Chramosta before taking the lead via Singhateh’s strike, prompting a furious finish that ended with Mbodji’s equalizer.
The Gambian forward appeared to put Jablonec ahead in extra time but his goal was disallowed by VAR for offsides, resulting in a penalty shootout to determine a winner.
And Singhateh, along with compatriot Lamin Jawo, converted their spot kick attempts before goalkeeper Klemen Mihelak came up huge to give the hosts the victory.

Jablonec are also competing well in the Chance Liga, where they sit in third place, thirteen points behind leaders Slavia. Singhateh’s strong performance in the cup may pave the way for more opportunities in the league as the club attempts to compete for a place in UEFA competition next season.
