Algerian midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has undergone a minor surgical procedure, as confirmed by his club Lille OSC.
The French side announced that the Algerian international midfielder had a “minor operation,” without disclosing full details. The club only clarified that the procedure was carried out to treat an infection.
Bentaleb was consequently absent from Lille’s clash on Saturday against OGC Nice, which ended in a goalless draw as part of Matchday 30 of Ligue 1.
The 29-year-old has been an important figure for Lille this season, making 35 appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals and two assists.
