Nicolas Jackson: Chelsea striker appears on Aston Villa radar

Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson has appeared on the wish list of English Premier League club Aston Villa.

The 24-year-old is on a season long loan at Bundesliga side Bayern Munich from Chelsea, however with the Bavarians deciding against acquiring Jackson on a permanent deal, the African champion will have to look for a new club.

According to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, Aston Villa are interested in the former Villarreal striker ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Jackson’s future with the Blues under new manager Liam Rosenior remains uncertain and that has prompted Unai Emery to consider augmenting his frontline with the Casa Sports graduate with a permanent deal.

Italian giants, AC Milan have reportedly shown interest in Jackson as they seek to win the Serie A for the first time since the 2021-22 season.

Jackson was instrumental in Senegal’s journey to their second Africa Cup of Nations glory where they defeated hosts Morocco 1-0 in the finals at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

He played five matches, scoring two goals and providing one assists as Pape Gueye’s solitary strike powered them to the triumphant moment.

The former Mirandes attacker has an impressive 31 caps for Senegal, scoring seven goals in the process.
