Senegal defender Nobel Mendy’s performance at Rayo Vallecano has made him a hot cake with several clubs chasing his signature.
On loan from Real Betis to Vallecano, Mendy is reportedly close to triggering a clause that could make his transfer permanent in the summer.
According to El Pespunte, the agreement between the two clubs includes an obligation to buy if the player plays at least 45 minutes in 25 official matches.

The former Paris FC utility centre-back has already played 20 matches, putting him five games away from the automatic activation of the clause.
The 21-year-old has gradually gained playing time and confidence at Vallecano.
His solid performances and the absences of key members of Vallecano defenders have allowed him to establish himself in the rotation and become a regular option for his coach, Inigo Perez.
If the clause is activated, the Real Betis should receive around three million euros, with bonuses that could increase the total amount.
The club would also retain a percentage of any future transfer fee of the one time capped Teranga Lions.
Having arrived in Seville after a difficult start, the Senegalese player seems to have found a favorable environment at Vallecano to revive his career.
Mendy’s season in the La Liga has been nothing short of impressive, chalking 20 appearances with two goals to his credit.
