Despite their 3-2 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) defeat to Shooting Stars, Nasarawa United technical adviser Mbwas Mangut has assured fans that his side will keep pushing to secure a continental spot.
The Solid Miners put up a resolute display in their Matchday 36 encounter, rallying from two goals down before eventually succumbing to the hosts.
Speaking with the club’s media, Mangut expressed disappointment with the outcome but insisted the team would fight to finish among the top three at the end of the season.
“I feel so disappointed with the result today after putting up a superb performance into game.
We lost due to a momentary loss of concentration.
Like I said before, the league is still open to teams from the first six positions.
“We will fight till the end of the season, with the hope of achieving our set goals.”
The Lafia-based club remains in sixth position on the table with 53 points, leaving them with just two games to achieve their objective.
