Liverpool FC booked their place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals in emphatic fashion, defeating Galatasaray 4-0 at Anfield in the second leg of the Round of 16.

Despite suffering a 1-0 defeat in the first leg in Turkey—courtesy of a goal from Mario Lemina—Liverpool delivered a stunning turnaround in front of their home fans.

The breakthrough came in the 25th minute when Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring, converting a low cross from Alexis Mac Allister following a corner kick.

Drama unfolded just before halftime as Mohamed Salah missed a golden opportunity to double the lead, seeing his penalty in stoppage time (45+4) saved after a central effort.

Liverpool came out firing in the second half. Hugo Ekitike doubled the advantage in the 51st minute after a pass from Salah. Just three minutes later, Ryan Gravenberch made it 3-0, reacting quickest to a rebound after Salah’s shot was parried by the goalkeeper.

Salah redeemed himself in style in the 63rd minute, curling in a fine strike from the edge of the box to cap off a dominant display.

The Egyptian forward nearly added a fifth in the 67th minute, but his effort struck the crossbar.

With a commanding 4-0 victory on the night, Liverpool overturned the first-leg deficit and advanced to the quarter-finals, where they are set to face Paris Saint-Germain.
