Towering striker Simy Nwankwo’s form has cooled down with Al Orubah but the Nigerian returned to the scoresheet with two goals in a 2-1 victory at Al Jandal.
The former Crotone star’s deflected effort just before halftime leveled the match for the visitors after conceding ten minutes prior. Close to the hour mark, the veteran poacher produced an excellent strike to claim all three points for his team. Al Orubah’s form has slipped in recent months but they will compete in the playoffs to see if they will compete in the Saudi Pro League next season.
On the other end of the table, former Kaizer Chiefs and Marumo Gallants star Ranga Chivaviro helped Al Adalah move six points outside the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory at Al Jabalain.

The 2022-23 CAF Confederation Cup top scorer runner-up struck twice in the second half to help his team overcome a halftime deficit against one of the teams competing for promotion.
It has been a difficult season but the South African has shown his quality during an inconsistent campaign. He now has 11 goals from 25 league matches this season and has provided timely contributions to keep relegation at arm’s length for his club.
