After combining with Italian attacker Mateo Retegui in the 16th minute, Bonsu Baah found space to fire in a powerful left-footed finish to put the hosts ahead.
However, in a similar manner to Friday’s 2-3 defeat at Al Ettifaq, Al Qadsiah let an early lead slip away once again. Jordanian forward Ali Azaizeh scored on both sides of halftime to put Al Shabab ahead in a match that featured plenty of opportunities for both teams.
Retegui did equalize for the hosts in the 76th minute, and an opporunity arose when Shabab defender Wesley Hoedt was issued a red card shortly after. However, the match ended with a draw following a strong defensive performance from the visitors in the final twenty minutes.
Bonsu Baah is in full flight after taking some time to adjust to his new surroundings following a big-money transfer from Belgian club KRC Genk. He now has 3 goals and 8 assists (tied for 4th in the league) in 27 league matches this season, with 2 goals and 7 assists arriving in 2026 to make him an essential player for his club.
Al Qadsiah remain in fourth place, four points back of Asian club champions Al Ahli with only five league matches remaining. A top-3 finish is required to qualify for continental competition next season.
