Ferencvarosi of Hungary secured their 36th Hungarian League title—and their seventh consecutive one—after defeating Győr 2-1 in the final round of the competition.

This marked the first time since 2004 that the league champion was decided on the last matchday.

The Hungarian side boasts a number of African players, including Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, Malian player Adama Traoré, Nigerian Anderson Esiti, Ivorian Habib Maïga, Guinean Naby Keita, and Moroccan Ismail Aaniba. Additionally, Nigerian Tosin Kehinde and Ghanaian Isaac Pappoe, currently on loan from Arau in Switzerland, are part of the squad.

Ferencvarosi finished the season at the top of the table with 69 points after 33 rounds, three points clear of second-placed Puskás Akadémia.

African players played a role in Ferencvarosi’s final-day victory. Guinean midfielder Naby Keita and Ivorian Habib Maïga started the match, while Nigerian winger Tosin Kehinde came off the bench late in the second half.
