Second division club B19 FC provided a capable challenge but the star power of the Reds was too much to handle. Zambia international Chama finished off a splendid team movement to put the favorites beyond reach in the second half at the General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

After holding out for the opening twenty minutes, B19 FC fell behind via a goalkeeping error. Loemba was in the right place to nod in from close range after a cross was tipped into the air. The match remained close until Chama struck in the 77th minute.

There were no big surprises in action from Saturday and Friday. Tanzania Mainland Premier League clubs TRA United, Tanzania Prisons, Pamba Jiji, Dodoma Jiji and Namungo FC were among the teams to advance.

Reigning cup champions Young Africans will be in action on Sunday against Tanzania Police, while Azam FC clash with Mbeya City to conclude the Round of 32.

Simba SC progress in Federation Cup after strong performance

The victory ensured that Simba SC continued their journey in the Tanzania Federation Cup with confidence. Despite facing a determined B19 FC side, the Mainland Premier League giants showed their experience and quality to secure a comfortable win.

B19 FC, who compete in the second division, began the match with great determination and defensive discipline. For the opening twenty minutes, they managed to keep Simba SC from creating clear scoring opportunities and tried to catch the favorites on the counterattack.

However, Simba’s attacking pressure eventually proved too strong as they gradually took control of the game.

Loemba’s goal gives Simba SC early advantage

The breakthrough came when Jospin Loemba capitalized on a mistake from the opposing goalkeeper. A cross into the penalty area caused confusion in the B19 FC defense, and the goalkeeper’s attempted clearance only sent the ball into the air.

Loemba reacted quickly to the loose ball and nodded it into the net from close range. The goal gave Simba SC a crucial lead and allowed them to dictate the tempo of the match.

Even after conceding, B19 FC continued to fight and remained organized defensively to keep the scoreline within reach for much of the game.

Clatous Chama seals the victory

The decisive moment arrived late in the second half when Clatous Chama doubled the lead in the 77th minute.

The Zambia international finished a well-constructed team move that showcased Simba SC’s attacking quality. After a sequence of quick passes in the final third, the ball was delivered into Chama’s path and he calmly finished the opportunity.

The goal effectively ended B19 FC’s hopes of staging a comeback and confirmed Simba SC’s place in the Round of 16 of the Federation Cup.

Chama’s experience and creativity in midfield once again proved valuable for the Tanzanian giants.

Other Premier League clubs advance

Elsewhere in the competition, several teams from the Tanzania Mainland Premier League also secured their spots in the next round of the tournament.

Clubs including TRA United, Tanzania Prisons, Pamba Jiji, Dodoma Jiji and Namungo FC all managed to progress after winning their respective matches.

Their victories mean that many of the country’s top-flight teams remain strong contenders for the trophy as the competition moves into the later stages.

Young Africans and Azam FC prepare for key matches

The action in the Federation Cup will continue with more fixtures scheduled to conclude the Round of 32.

Reigning champions Young Africans (Yanga SC) are set to face Tanzania Police in a highly anticipated match as they begin their defense of the title.

Meanwhile, Azam FC will meet Mbeya City in another important clash that will determine the final teams progressing to the Round of 16.

With several strong teams still in the competition, the Federation Cup promises more exciting encounters as clubs compete for one of Tanzania’s most prestigious domestic trophies.
