Malawian women’s national team striker Tabitha Chawinga has added another silverware to her collection with Olympique Lyonnes Feminin.
The Scorchers captain was an unused substitute as OL Lyonnes destroyed her former employers, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Feminine 4-1, to claim the Coupe de France on Sunday, 10 May 2026.

Melchie Dumornay opened the scoring in the 23rd minute for Lyon. Thereafter, Bicki Becho took over the show to net a brace and make it 3-0 at the break.
PSG Feminine reduced the deficit through Merveille Kanjinga’s strike in the second half, but Lindsey Heaps’ late goal killed off any hopes of PSG’s comeback.
The heavy defeat added more salt to the wounds of the Paris-based giants, who have now lost four games on the trot to their rivals across all competitions this season alone.
OL Lyonnes will now turn their attention to the UEFA Women’s Champions League final against Barcelona women’s team on 23 May. The French league champions eliminated their Arsenal counterparts in the semifinal to reach the final.
On the other hand, the Spanish side saw off Bayern Munich in the last-four stage. Tabitha Chawinga missed both semifinal legs as she is struggling with a right thigh injury.
