African stars flourished one more time across various leagues in Europe with several of them scoring for their club sides over the weekend.

Senegalese international, Assane Diao scored his second goal of the season during Como’s convincing 2-0 win at Genoa.

The 20-year-old now has two goals, three assists from 13 appearances this Serie A season.

Experienced Tanzania forward Mbwana Ally Samatta increased his season’s tally to two goals during Le Havre’s thrilling 4-4 draw at home against relegation threatened Metz on Sunday.

The 33-year-old fired Le Havre ahead with just five played with Metz pulling level through the effort of Giorgi Kvilitaia pulled level for Metz four minutes later.

Samatta has now scored two goals

Morocco winger Yassine Kechta restored Le Havre’s lead in the 13th minute however the visitors came back on the stroke of half time with Gauthier Hein from the spot kick.

Both sides took the game to each other and Le Havre shot ahead once more when France youngster, Yanis Zouaoui scored from the spot but Jahyann Pandore pulled Metz level two minutes after.

On the hour mark, Mali international, Fode Doucoure scored what would be the winner despite Gaithier Hein scored a late goal.

Samatta has now scored two goals in 24 matches while Kechta has the same number of goals from 27 games.

Doucoure has a goal better than Samatta and Kechta from 23 appearances this campaign.

Ganago scores season’s second goal

Cameroonian forward, Ignatius Ganago was on the losing side despite scoring his second goal of the season during Nantes 2-1 loss at Rennes.

Ganago’s goal takes his season’s tally to two from 11 matches for Nantes this campaign.

Thomas-Asante bags 13th goal

Ghana international, Brandon Thomas-Asante scored his 13th goal of the season for newly promoted English Premier League side, Coventry City during their 2-1 home win over Wrexham.

The 27-year-old has played 31 matches for Frank Lampard’s side who returned to the top flight for the first time in 25-years.

Algeria midfielder, Adem Zorgane registered a brace, his first two goals in 28 games as Union St Gilloise battered ten-man Anderlecht.

Senegal forward, Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly scored his second goal of the season in the Major League Soccer for his 4th start with his new club, Vancouver Whitecaps who defeated Colorado Rapids 3-1 on Sunday.
