Uganda Premier League: High-stakes relegation clashes take center stage in Matchday 25
The battle for survival takes center stage as Matchday 25 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League gets underway on Friday with several teams fighting to stay afloat in the top flight.

One of the most intriguing fixtures comes at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, where Mbarara City face an uphill task against an in-form NEC side.
The Ankole Lions are still reeling from their last outing, where they squandered a two-goal advantage to draw 2-2 with Maroons.
Sitting 14th on 17 points, just two above the relegation zone, Mbarara City are desperate for maximum points to boost their survival hopes.
However, NEC’s impressive unbeaten run presents a stern challenge, even as they chase a place in the league’s top five.
In Bombo, UPDF will be looking to build on their emphatic 5-2 victory over BUL when they host URA. The army side, currently 12th with 20 points, know that another positive result could edge them closer to safety.
URA, meanwhile, will be aiming to halt UPDF’s momentum and strengthen their own position as the season edges toward its climax.
Later in the evening, attention shifts to Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, where Express take on BUL in a tightly contested battle for top-eight positioning.
BUL occupy eighth place with 31 points, just one ahead of the Red Eagles, making this clash crucial in shaping the mid-table standings.
The action continues into the weekend with more compelling fixtures. Calvary host KCCA in Yumbe, while Lugazi welcome Kitara in Najjembe.
Maroons face Police at Luzira, and SC Villa take on Buhimba United Saints under the lights at Kadiba. The round concludes on Sunday with Vipers hosting Entebbe UPPC at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
