URA FC eye famous comeback as Uganda Cup final spot beckons

URA FC face a mountain to climb this Saturday evening (19:00 EAT) as they head to the FUFA Stadium in Kadiba to clash with SC Villa in the decisive second leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup semi-finals.

Trailing 2-0 after the first leg, the Tax Collectors will need to summon the spirit of past great escapes to overturn the deficit and deny a resilient Villa side a spot in the final.

URA FC Belief Drawn From KCCA Comeback

URA FC have already shown resilience in this year’s competition after overturning a difficult situation against KCCA FC in the quarter-finals.

Trailing by two goals during that tie, the Tax Collectors fought back to level matters at 2-2 before eventually progressing via penalties, a performance that demonstrated the squad’s character and determination under pressure.

That comeback now serves as added motivation ahead of another crucial knockout encounter.

The winner over the two legs will advance to the Uganda Cup final against Kitara FC, who eliminated Vipers SC on Friday.
URA FC must win 2-0 to force penalties, while victory by three or more goals would see them qualify directly for the final.
