Walid Regragui has officially bid farewell to the Morocco national football team after an unforgettable period in charge of the Atlas Lions.
The 50-year-old Moroccan coach shared a farewell message through a video posted on his official account on Instagram, accompanied by the phrase: “Allah– Homeland – King.”

The video highlighted several moments, most notably their historic campaign at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, along with other memories recorded by the Atlas Lions during his tenure.
Regragui was appointed head coach of Morocco in August 2022, succeeding Bosnian manager Vahid Halilhodžić.
Under his leadership, Morocco reached the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup, achieving the best result ever for an Arab and African national team in the tournament’s history.
However, Regragui’s side later suffered heartbreak in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, losing 1–0 to the Senegal national football team, extending his country’s wait for the continental title to more than 50 years.
