Category A matches will involve Nyasa Big Bullets, Mighty Wanderers and Silver Strikers, which draw huge crowds.
Category B comprises Blue Eagles, Civil Service United, Kamuzu Barracks, Karonga United, Ekhaya FC, Moyale Barracks FC and Creck Sporting Club.

The 2026-2027 FDH Premiership season will get in motion on April 25 with an appetising line up of fixtures.
The 16-member league, established in 1986, is now being called FDH Bank Premiership after securing sponsorship from Malawi’s FDH Bank, which took over from mobile services company, TNM, which had sponsored the league since 2008.
FDH Bank took over the 16-member league after pumping in a record USD 2.8 million (5 billion/ Malawi kwacha/MK) sponsorship for the next five years. USD=MK1,700).
The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) released the 240 fixtures for the entire season running up to February 2027.
Defending champions Mighty Wanderers will set the ball rolling on April 25 with a home game against Karonga United at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre while record 17-time champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will be on the road to kickstart the season with Civil Service United in Lilongwe.
Elsewhere in Lilongwe, one-time winners Kamuzu Barracks FC host 2024 champions Silver Strikers.
Malawi league champions participate in the CAF Champions League while the bottom three are relegated to the second-tier league paving the way for newly promoted regional league champions.
