Al Ahly defeat ENPPI 3-0 to maintain pressure in Nile Egyptian League title race

Al Ahly secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over ENPPI SC at Cairo International Stadium in the sixth round of the Nile Egyptian League championship phase.

Despite the convincing result, Al Ahly remain third in the standings, as other results involving title rivals did not significantly improve their position.

Al Ahly made a perfect start when Hussein El Shahat opened the scoring in the 8th minute. The winger finished clinically after a precise through ball from Ahmed Sayed Zizo inside the penalty area.

The Red Devils doubled their lead after being awarded a penalty in the 18th minute, which Zizo confidently converted in the 21st minute to make it 2-0.

Early in the second half, Al Ahly sealed the victory through Achraf Bencharki in the 48th minute. The move began with Aliou Dieng winning possession high up the pitch before Emam Ashour provided the assist for Bencharki’s composed finish.

The victory takes Al Ahly to 50 points, keeping them in third place, while ENPPI remain deep in relegation trouble with 36 points in the penultimate position.

With one round remaining, Al Ahly continue to fight for the strongest possible finish, while also maintaining hopes of securing qualification for next season’s continental competitions.
