Burundian forward Mossi Nduwumwe continued his sensational form for the big spenders, striking the match-winner in the second half to make it five goals in his last three matches. Right back Ande Koffi’s low cross snuck through traffic to find a wide open Nduwumwe at the far post, who had time to finish for the only goal of the match.
It is Singida’s third consecutive victory in league play, keeping them firmly in contention to spend another season in continental football if they can maintain their current form.
The result took on added value after JKT Tanzania and TRA United played to a 1-1 draw later on Tuesday, with the two opponents disrupting each other’s pursuit of Singida. Both goals arrived in the first half, with TRA forward Joseph Akandwanaho’s opener cancelled out by a header from JKT defender Salum Khamis within ten minutes.

Young Africans headline Wednesday’s action when they attempt to maintain their undefeated league campaign away at Dodoma Jiji. Simba SC will face Mashujaa FC away on Thursday before Azam FC close out the 23rd round at home against Pamba Jiji.
