Tariq Lamptey has commented on his exit from Italian Serie A side ACF Fiorentina following the mutual termination of his contract after a tenure plagued by injuries.
The Ghanaian international saw his time with La Viola cut short by physical setbacks, playing only 26 minutes before suffering a ruptured ACL that prematurely ended his season.
Writing on his social media page on Tuesday, the 25-year-old stated that it was a point of pride to have played for the Florence-based side and expressed his appreciation for the fans’ unwavering support.

“I was truly excited to play at Il Franchi, to wear this shirt, and to help the team on the pitch and give the fans something to cheer for. That was my aim but of course I trust God’s plan always.
“I didn’t get to do that but still I’m grateful for the experience and for everyone who supported me throughout my time in Florence.
“He also thanked the club’s president and coaching staff, adding that the club would always hold a special place in his heart. I want to say thank you to ACF Fiorentina, Mr President, all the directors, coaches, coaching staff and everyone behind the scenes.
