Boulaye Dia made a late cameo and assisted a second half stoppage time winner for Lazio, who dealt hosts and relegation candidates Cremonese another blow in their 2-1 Serie A victory on Monday.
The Senegalese forward held off a defender and laid a pass back into the path of hero Tijjani Noslin, who produced a brilliant curled effort the Roman club into 8th place on the table.
Cremonese, who needed points to decrease their four-point gap from Lecce and safety from the drop zone, did well to seize their chance in the first half and take a halftime lead.
However, Noslin came on at halftime and seven minutes later, the Dutch forward set up Gustav Isaksen for the equalizer after an excellent run down the left wing from Nuno Tavares. It was not a particularly outstanding second half effort from the visitors but they capitalized on their few opportunities.
The hosts, on the other hand, created some danger but were reduced to half-chances. And Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri’s substitutions proved to be a master stroke that made the difference.
Two of those changes, Dia and Noslin, produced the decisive moment in the second half of time added on. Noslin displayed his dynamic movement and pass to Dia in the box. The Senegalese shrugged off a challenge and played the return ball for Noslin, whose finish was magnificent.

There is not too much to play for in the league for the club from the capital but Monday’s result will give them positive moment ahead of the Coppa Italia final. They are set for two consecutive fixtures against Serie A champions Inter Milan, where they will host a league clash on Saturday before squaring off in the cup final next Wednesday.
Dia has endured a difficult 2025-26 campaign, managing 2 goals and 2 assists from 26 games in all competitions while featuring mostly as a substitute under coach Sarri.
