Swiss top flight runners-up Servette FC acquired three African internationals this week, bringing in Tunisian central defender Dylan Bronn and Gambian winger Ablie Jallow as they gear up for the qualifying stages of the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League.
The latest acquisition, Bronn, brings a valuable physical presence to the heart of the Servette defense with the qualities of leadership and experience. The 30-year-old arrives on a free transfer from Italian Serie B side Salernitana and has some familiarity with Servette. Bronn previously spent half of the 2023-24 season on loan with Servette, helping the club to a third place finish.
Gambian winger Jallow also arrives on a free transfer after his contract with FC Metz expired following the club's promotion to France's Ligue 1. The 26-year-old was an effective substitute option during the 2024-25 season for Metz, providing 5 goals and an assist in 29 matches.
A dynamic dribbler with plenty of pace and trickery, Servette could be the perfect destination for Jallow after spending eight seasons at Metz with a few loan spells away from the club. Jallow spent time with the prestigious youth academies of Real de Banjul in his native Gambia as well as Senegal's Génération Foot, whose connection to Metz allowed Jallow to begin his ongoing tenure in European club football.
Also of note, Republic of Congo national team left back Bradley Mazikou has extended his contract with Servette until 2028, a deserved reward for two seasons of excellent service. The 29-year-old has accumulated 7 assists in 62 Swiss Super League games with Servette after the defender born in France previously spent time with Greek club Aris and Bulgarian giants CSKA Sofia.
