Manchester City’s Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush has won the 2024-2025 Premier League Goal of the Season Award.
The Pharaoh’s player has earned recognition for his wonderful strike against Bournemouth last month. He collected the ball in City’s territory before unleashing a powerful drive that dipped into the net. The goal put Pep Guardiola’s men on the path to a 3-1 win.
The January transfer signing from Eintracht Frankfurt proved to be a reliable cover for Erling Haaland upfront.
The Egyptian scored seven goals in sixteen Premier League appearances in his debut season in what is considered the toughest league in the world. This helped City to secure a UEFA Champions League spot after finishing in third place.
The 27-year-old shrugged off competition from Alexander Isak of Newcastle United, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson, former Aston Villa man John Duran, Fulham’s Harry Wilson, Bournemouth’s David Brooks, Brighton and Hove Albion’s Kaoru Mitoma and Carlos Baleba, and Ipswich’s Jens Cajuste.
