Ismaïla Sarr's late goal prevented defeat for Senegal on Friday in a 1-1 result against hosts Ireland from their international friendly match played at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
The Crystal Palace winger pounced to fire in after getting on the end of a deflected Iliman Ndiaye cross to salvage a result for the Lions of Teranga, who were rewarded for an improved second half performance.
Ireland took the lead in the first half through Kasry McAteer. The Leicester City forward showed his goal scoring instincts after an Ireland corner kick was cleared, making an intelligent run to head in past Yehvann Diouf from close range.
Senegal coach Pape Thiaw will be satisfied with how his team was able to bounce back away from home after the West African nation showed fight and increased their level in the second half for a deserved equalizer.
The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations champions continue their stay on the British Isles with a big test on Tuesday when they face England at the City Ground in Nottingham.
