Ghana Premier League: Kotoko look for redemption, Aduana battle Hearts

Asante Kotoko’s chances of playing in the Top Four at the end of the Ghana Premier League season looks quite bleak after last week’s loss at Dreams fc.

The Porcupine Warriors will look for redemption against already relegated Eleven Wonders at 3:00pm GMT in week 32 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

Kotoko lost to Dreams fc last weekend

Speaking during the pre-match press conference, Kotoko’s interim head coach Obeng explained that scoring early could help his players settle and play with more freedom.

“Of course, we need to take our chances very quick, especially inside the first half.

“We need to take our chances by scoring as quick as possible in the first half so that we will take off pressure and play our normal game as well,” he told AKSC Media.

After losing 2-0 to Dreams fc last week, Kotoko dropped to 10th on the league table sharing 43 points with Bechem United and Basake Holy Stars from 31 matches.

Eleven Wonders also head into the game struggling for form, having suffered four defeats and recorded one win in their last five matches.

Aduana battle Hearts in epic encounter

Two time champions Aduana FC will travel down south as guests of record FA Cup winners Hearts of Oak at the on Sunday.

Aduana head coach Cioaba Aristica shared some words ahead of crunchy encounter.

“After the team exited the cup competition, we are trying to finish the league in position,” he told Aduana TV.

Aduana are 6th on the league table with 46 points same as Dreams fc from 31 league games with Hearts of Oak in third on 50 points.

With three games to end the season, Aduana and Hearts of Oak are targeting a Top Four finish as the title dream looks impossible to reach.
