Ghana Premier League: Medeama offload six players in massive squad overhaul

Ghana Premier League club Medeama SC have begun a massive squad overhaul, offloading some players ahead of next season’s domestic campaign.


The Mauve and Yellow have truncated their journey with six players namely, Burkina Faso striker, Ben Daouda Sidibe who joined the side from home side, Rail Club du Kadiogo.


Other names which the club has severed ties with are experienced goalkeeper Appiah Kubi, forwards Andy Francis Kumi, Michael Sarpong and midfielder Kwasi Donsu as well as utility star Michael Enu.


Head coach Ibrahim Tanko will to make reinforcement for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season after guiding the two time FA Cup champions to 8th place last season.


Media reports indicate that Medeama are chasing the signature of Heart of Lions goalkeeper Lawrence Osei to fill the void created by the exit of Appiah Kubi.
