Egyptian rising star Hamza AbdelKarim expressed his joy after playing a decisive role in leading FC Barcelona Juvenil A to the Spanish Youth League title.
Speaking to Barcelona’s official website after the title triumph, Hamza said:
“It’s obviously a beautiful feeling. I’m happy, and I want even more.”
About his outstanding display, he added:
“Thank God for my three goals, but I could have scored four or even five.”
Hamza credited his teammates after scoring 3 goals:
“The players helped me because they know my qualities, so we played to them.”
Former Al Ahly player also added:
“I worked hard, all the players worked hard in this match, and the whole team has worked hard since the beginning of the season.”
The young Egyptian forward acknowledged:
“I joined the team in the middle of the season. At first, the team welcomed me very well. My adaptation was not immediate, but over time I managed to adjust.”
“The team plays with a different style, and I had to adapt to reach this level.”
His path in Spain was initially complicated by bureaucratic obstacles, including delays in securing his work permit, which postponed his official debut until March 8.
Hamza’s journey with FC Barcelona Juvenil began impressively when he started against Huesca, scoring his first goal for the club and also winning a penalty in a standout debut performance.
He then continued his development by featuring in crucial matches against Deportivo La Coruña Youth and Real Betis Youth in the semi-final and final of the Spanish Youth King’s Cup.
Hamza also appeared against Damm in the youth league before suffering an injury that sidelined him for matches against Tarragona and Sabadell.
After recovering, the Egyptian striker returned to action as a substitute against Cornellà and Constància, before delivering his breakthrough moment in spectacular fashion. In Barcelona’s decisive youth league match against Monte Carlo, Hamza exploded with a stunning hat-trick, scoring three headers and establishing himself as one of the club’s most exciting young talents.
His rapid rise at Barcelona continues to strengthen his reputation as one of Egypt’s brightest young prospects, with his performances in Spain suggesting a hugely promising future at the highest level.
