Nigeria international Alex Iwobi could be available for Fulham’s trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, after missing three games with a hamstring injury.
Aside from his time away during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, the former Arsenal player had been almost ever-present for Fulham until being forced off in last month’s draw at Brentford.

Following the injury, Iwobi was sidelined for three matches (against Aston Villa, Bournemouth, and Arsenal). He had been sidelined for roughly three weeks after suffering a hamstring injury during a match against Brentford.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, manager Marco Silva said: “Alex is back in contention for the game. Last week, he had some training sessions with us. This week, throughout the week, he’s been working with us. It’s been a good week for him.”
Silva added: “He’s a big player for us, definitely. He’s a player who’s very versatile, who can play in many different positions. He’s also a player that can add extra quality in the decision making.
“In all aspects of the game he’s a key player for us and he’s shown it again this season. It’s a boost. Definitely, it’s a boost.”
In a recent interview, Iwobi explained how he was managing the injury. He said: “I’m just walking through my neighbourhoods, going through the shops. Obviously, the reason why I’m doing this is to get some blood flow and oxygen into the legs, make sure my legs are not just indoors, and keep active.
“Right now, as it stands, I have got a hamstring injury, so I’m going to keep on the move and get my steps in. It’s unfortunate to get a hamstring injury. I appreciate the support and the love that everyone’s showing me, and everyone checking on me.
“As of now, I don’t know how bad it is. I’m able to walk, though I’ve got a limp, so that’s a positive. I’ve got a scan soon, so I’m praying for a speedy recovery.”
The injury setback saw Iwobi, who has so far managed 27 Premier League appearances with four goals and three assists, ruled out of the Unity Cup slated for London.
