'Quality' Mohammed Kudos deserves to be at a top team – Carragher

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus is a player who deserves to play for a top Premier League team fighting for trophies.

Carragher further insisted that Kudus' poor run of form this season contributed to West Ham United’s struggles in the top flight. He added that compared to last season, when he was in top form, this season, the Black Star had struggled slightly.

“There is no doubt he’s a quality player who should be playing for a team closer to the top of the table, not near the bottom,” Carragher told SkySports.

“But probably one of the reasons why West Ham are where they are this season is because he hasn’t shown the form that he showed last season,” Carragher added. “Last season, he looked fantastic; he just hasn’t looked the same player this season.”

Last season, Kudus contributed eight goals and provided nine assists in 33 league games. However, this season, he has managed just four goals and three assists in 31 appearances.
